Default raising and lowering without batteries

We live in a cold climate and have taken our batteries out for winter storage. How can we raise and lower our Hi-Lo without the batteries?

Leave the negative and positive cables stretched out so you reach in and get them with the limited access you have with the trailer down. Then pull a vehicle up near the batterey compartment and use jumper cables and attach them to the battery cables. Make sure you leave you engine running and shield the whole arrangement from metal- like the top of the batterey compartment.
