Default Had a challenge getting tires for our 1990 25ft. Classic.

Got our RV inspected in March. Advised that our tires were only good for a few small trips. We only put on 1000 miles a year. The tires were from 2014. Called Dun Tire and was told they couldn't give us an ETA. Called our HiLo dealer and they said they had three tires in stock. Called to check on our order and went to pick them up today. Checked the code date late 2017. Our dealer couldn't find the three tires so he ordered four for us. I will have Dunn Tire put them on as they will balance them. DH will be 78 in five years. We might be unable to get tires the next time. The tires are ST19575D. When we got the trailer used it had a slightly bigger tire on it and it rubbed the wheel well. A patch was used to repair the wheel well. This time we will have the tires rotated. DH is very good keeping them up to proper air pressure.

What is the wheel size, 15",14" or 13"? It sounds like they got increased somewhere along the way.

Default Getting tires

Had the tires balanced and changed out by Dunn Tire. Spent $116.53. Not much when you consider the tires should last five years. We have a new spare. One of the tires was good enough to keep for a spare. Tech didn't recomend tire rotation. The rim is 14 inches. We only put on about 1000 miles a year going to local campgrounds.

Menards has multiple trailer tires mounted to new rims. I just replacde all 4 of mine from Menards for $119.00 ea.

New tires and new rims. Check Menards out on line. Put in your size and chances are they will have them. Then all you do is replace the entire wheel. No need to install new tires on old rims. FYI

I ordered mine (ST205/75/15D) from ebay. About $80 per tire and wheel, free 3 day delivery. The seller operates out of Naples, FL but I think the tires shipped from Indiana.

Because I want my wheels balanced, I wouldn't buy wheels with tires mounted.

Default I agree get tires balanced.

That is whyI bought the tires from our RV dealer and had Dunn Tire change them out . This included a wheel balancing. Dunn Tire is nation wide if a problem was encountered I could find one of their locations. I know longer own this 1990 HiLo. It has been donated to a veteran coming out of the service. We certainly have done our part to stimulate the economy as we had to buy a second set of tires and rims for our 1996 26ft. HiLo Classic.

Default Discount Tire Stores

Do not know about your area but in Fort Worth I have a Discount Tire store about 6 blocks from house. Monday I took my 1990 model 229L up there and while I waited in the A/C showroom they mounted and balanced 4 new tires for me. They were in stock and cost me $ 298. out the door, after a $30. rebate I have coming. Have lifetime repair, rotation, etc whenever I need or want. Mine are 14 inch, load range C. Hassle free.

I use Discount Tire too. If they don't have the tires you want in stock, they can probably order them for you.
