Default Aluminum roof Questions

Hi all. My 2008 Towlite 19T has an aluminum roof that is textured like sandpaper. Can anybody tell me if the aluminum is actually formed like this or is it some kind of grit that's been painted over?

Also, is the aluminum glued/bonded to the wood underneath? Thanks

I don't know about the texture, my trailer is older! I doubt that the aluminum is bonded it needs to expand and contract.
