Default Entry Door Window

The window on my entry door has slipped down leaving about a 1/4"-3/8" gap on the top between window and the seal. Can anyone please tell me what caused that and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks!

Someone addressed that same problem here several months ago. Give it a search.

Its easy to do,but takes a day, unscrew the trim ring from the inside, remove ring amd glass from the outside and clean all surfaces well what happened is that the ring warps after time and the sealant dries out. next take the outside ring and you will see 4 small tabs in the corners , this holds the glass in place, place the ring downward, lay a bead of cauk (i used dap flexable )on the ring that the glass sits on, place the glass on it and then use spring clamps all around the glass and ring to hold in place and keep the glass to ring alignment correct, leave this for 24 hours so it seals correctly when the cauk oozes out thats good, just wipe it away with paper towel.the next step is easier with 2 people. take the glass and ring asy. and put a bead of cauk on the door to outside trimring and place asy. into place then place cauk on inside trim ring to glass surface an screw the trim ring back on, make sure you don't overtighten the screws, wipe off excess cauk after a day or two, i go back and make sure the screws are snug and put a seal of cauk on the outside ring to eleminate any water . hope this helps
