Unhappy Extra support for sagging top section at doorway.

I have a slight sagging on the top section at the doorway of my 2701 Hi-Lo, It is just annoying me but has created no other problems (Yet). The only side support struts are behind the rear wheels, seems like another side support towards the front of the trailer would have helped with this problem. Has anybody ever added one with success, or has come up with a better idea.

MonkeyFoot,

What year is your trailer? Is it a TowLite or a Classic? Can you post a picture? Does it have an air conditioner?

My 2805C has 5 side supports. I have read post on the forum that supports have been added by owners. Looks easy to me and should not be very expensive and it is a good idea as the door area is the weakest area and will only get worst.

Default Sag over Door - 32' - 1995 model

All, I have the same issue. Over my door on our 1995 - 32' the exterior fiberglass has cracked slightly and sags a bit. Has anyone came up with a simple fix?
I just replaced the seal yesterday, adjust all the cables etc.
While adjusting the cable, I noticed this needs reinforcement. I was thinking,
Maybe a piece of 1/8" plate cut to fit from window dressing to window dressing inside and about 1-2" below the top of the door to the ceiling secured with 5/16" lag screw may would strengthen it enough. It would be approx. 14" x 32" piece.
Problem is, I do not know where the reinforcements in the wall are to screw it to for the strength.
I really don't want to tear into the walls if I don't have to.
Anyone else made this repair?
Thanks, Tom

I have 2 HILo's and both sag. It is a poor design. The main support beams should have been at the top where they could have remained one piece. I am going to rebuild mine to reflect this idea. I will need to run a brace from the top beam to the bottom one where the cables attach so the weight is transferred to the top and every thing hangs from there. Water damage is the culprit with mine but I imagine they sag even if they don't leak. Of course I will have to redo the cupboards too.
