Found a new problem yesterday.
I have the Towlite, a 22 ft, 2009 model. The front end cap on the corners, at the bottom of the top half has pulled away from the siding. Have no idea what caused this, unless it's the extreme heat we're having this week.
But it looks like it could have been partially prevented if the factory hadn't skimped on the attachment screws. Coming down the sides, there's about a foot between each screw. If there had been 6 inches or less this probably wouldn't have happened.
From about 2002 forward, the 22 ft Towlite did not change. I'm wondering if all the 22 ft towlites had as few attachment screws as mine does, or if this was a sign of a company that was in financial trouble beginning to cut corners?
Without having to take out a current screw, does anyone know what size the screw for the end cap is. I know it takes a square screw drive, as opposed to a slotted screw or a Phillips head screw.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying probably a #8 x 3/4 inch. 99% of the screws I took out to recaulk the trim on the outside were those. Around the top and door and around the trim on the bottom.

Screw size
That is the size we found in our hilo restoration. Use stainless steel screws.

I have the exact same problem with my forward end cap. It looks like the previous owner just filled it in with gobs of more caulk. I intend on pulling a screw to match it up and add a few more in between the current screws. I believe I only have about three or four screws along the sides right now.

Atlee,
Our 2406 T is the same as yours. Cutting corners to save the expense of a few more screws is probably likely. Is yours a plastic end cap also? Be sure and check the upper roof level screws. I have two long splits in the front and rear end cap and several shorter splits on some of the other screws. I drilled tiny holes to prevent the splits from extending then filled with a rubber type caulk.

Don't over tighten the screws, getting hot and cold will cause the plastic to crack.
