Hello and what a great forum! I'm new to the Hi Lo site and have done a lot of research. I will be inspecting a 2000 190TD on Sunday and I'm wondering if this model has a metal upper & lower frame or all wood frame. I've printed the brochure which shows a metal frame but I've read where some 2000 models were wood. Is there a location inside where a metal frame member is visible? After reading the posts on water damaged frames and interior panels I'm concerned about hidden damage. When towing the camper in wet conditions, what prevents water from getting past the foam seal attached to the upper section? Hope you don't mind, but after Sunday I will probably have a lot more questions for the experts. Appreciate your patience and expertise.

checking out a HiLo

Use the check list for checking out a HiLo. If you are not sure about this HiLo then go back several times. What city and state are you from? What city is the HiLo in? Take a camera with you to take exterior and interior pictures. Post any any pictures or areas of concern. Our 90 Classic HiLo never gets water in it while towing. Our seal between the layers is shot, but must still provide water proofing while towing. Don't be afraid to get up on the roof and crawl underneath to check out the condition of the HiLo. I have to believe good caulking prevents water from getting in. Keep us posted.
