Default Rebuilding top part of the door

We did this pepair. Can't remember all the details. Hubby took the door apart and we just looked how it was . I remember he used exterior plywood and the repair took several days. A step by step process and then clamping. I used contact paper to complete the repair. We ended up with a better door than from the factory. Hubby is sleeping. I'll will ask him if he can remember any specifics.

Default Details

I would love more details. My husband and my dad are very handy so I know they could handle this if they had a little direction. Thanks for the help.

Default Fixing top half of rotted entry door.

Didn't get back to you sooner as I had computer trouble. Hubby says their is a wood frame all the way on the outside of the window. Next is foam around the window. The upper door/lower half rotted..Cut lumber to repair dammage/rot.Hubby had to plane down the wood to fit. Copy what is in the door. We did this repair a few years ago..sam

Another possibility of repairing any rotted wood, could be using penetrating epoxy after the rotted wood is dried then regular epoxy to fortify it.
