Default Removing Black Streaks

Any suggestions for a good product to remove those unsightly streaks? We tried something specifically designed for that but all it did was lighten them.

I use a product that is manufactured in my locality. It is called Korkay. The generic version is Martins. Perhaps others will have suggestions for you. Maybe you could ask on other camping forums if you don't get a reply.

Thanks Sam. I can order Korkays but was hoping to find something we could buy today. DH powerwashed it yesterday and wanted to use the gel gloss but I asked him to hold off until I could find out if there was something more effective at removing those streaks. Could he use the gel gloss today or would that "set" the stains? He wanted to wax it before we leave for camping Fri and today will probably be his only chance.

We use a "Crown" product. It is sold at some WalMarts and Menards and probably others. Works well for us. Available ina spray bottle and also gallon size I believe.

Thanks. I'll look for it at Walmart. No Menard's in our area yet but it is coming next year.

To help in the future, buy the downspouts that attach to the corners of the gutters along your roof. These direct water runoff away from the sides of the trailer and cut down on black streaks alot.

We use a product available at our dollar stores called LA Awesome cleaner in a spray bottle. It seems to work better then just about anything else though I have heard of good luck with a magic eraser also.

I actually had a magic eraser on hand and it did work pretty well although still some spots it didn't get out. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't see any gutters on ours but maybe they are something different than what I think they look like?

Default Black streaks

Sorry ,I didn't get back to you sooner. I had a busy day. My second cousins baby shower ect. Go ahead and apply the gel gloss to the trailer. It won,t set in the staines. We use micro rags dedicated for this job. You will find dirt on your cloth. Just read the directions on the gel gloss and follow.Your trailer will be nice and shiny and protected. Be very careful about using a power washer on your trailer. It can be too powerful and do dammage to your roof ect.

Yes definitely not what I was picturing. I'm a little confused about how they attach tho.

I placed these on our Hi Lo last spring. I can't remember if it came with a mounting hole or if I had to drill a hole in the spout. I took [1] screw loose on each end of the gutter, inserted the gutter spout behind it and re-tightened the screw. I also used a good caulking around it. I also bought the gutter extenders but do not use them unless I will have an extended stay. You do not want to leave the extenders on while traveling.

Don't make the same mistake I made, I bought the extenders first thinking that is what I needed. I later had to purchase the spouts to which the extenders are easily attached to and easily removed. I did buy the Camco spouts and extenders as shown in the picture.
