Default Sprayed on Roof

I saw this on Facebook yesterday and thought it was interesting. The company will have an exhibit at the Hershey RV show.

Rich,

It ain't cheap! I talked to the guys at RV Armor Roof and they want $3600.00 for any roof up to 30'. On the plus side, they do offer a lifetime material and labor warranty.

I figured "cheap" was not a part of their vocabulary.

Default Pros and cons?

Just my three cents....
Pros: they remove all roof fixtures and reinstall after. No leaks. They say they take off vents, A/C, solar panels, etc. Then re-install them, some with their covers for added protection.
Very thick covering, eliminates the possibility of leaks.

Cons: I worry about those unseen pin holes. Those continue to grow even under the coating! A year or two later, you may find out the hard way that they have eaten thru the metal roof.
As a career military aviator, I know that ALL military aircraft go thru rework. The entire aircraft is stripped of hardware and inspected for corrosion. Bare aluminum is anodized and coated with zinc chromate and then top coated, lasts for 20yrs or more!
WEIGHT: this stuff weighs an ton! well almost. with load range c tires, it will change the total weight of the unit. example; on an E-2C aircraft, almost 2500lbs is added with a product similar to this for semi-stealth protection.
Other factors must also be entertained. My bottom line. I think its an apply and forget. Just keep an eye on it.
