city water inlet
Hello.
Lowered the top with the hose attached and ended up having to get a new city water inlet. Problem is the 90 degree elbow that attaches to the inlet from the inside now leaks. Was looking at how it is attached. Does anyone know how to remove the elbow from the interior water tubing? Does it unscrew or is it some sort of clamping fitting? Thought I'd ask here before I take a set of pliers to it and bugger it up. I have a 2204 towlite. The water tubing is white. Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your question but 'er indoors did the same thing to our 2204T with minor damage. I'm sorry that I'm of no help in your dilemma but I was drawn to to your post by your desire not to "bugger it up". This phrase is uncommon to the American tongue. Would you be a fellow Limey, by chance?

Nope. Just borrowing a phrase I've seen in books and heard on tv. Seemed appropriate.

Figured out the reason it was leaking was that the cone seal must have stuck inside of the old outlet. Put a new seal in and it is good to go.

Those that have and those that will. It's just a matter of time before you forget to do something while raising or lowering. This checklist makes life a little bit easier. I printed it and laminated it so I can use a grease pencil on it and check off the items as I do them. Plenty of room to add additional items that you may find valuable to do before and after you raise and lower.

I'm looking at replacing my city water inlet brass connector and the white plastic part(it has a stress crack) that it's connected to (it's corroded and leaks).
It looks like most places sell the part together. Do I just measure the diameter of the plastic part and start doing research matching it or does anyone have any luck with a specific place?
I was also going to ask if it was possible to separate the two (the plastic part from the brass part)?
Thanks in advance!

Those are a generic part that any RV dealer can get or you can get them online. Here is one place: RV City Water Fill Inlet - PPL Motor Homes

city water inlet additional question
I saw this thread on the city water inlet, and wondered if people had some trick solution to screwing in the water supply hose--that recess is pretty tight quarters and I ended up using pliers to tighten the hose connection so it wouldn't leak. I dislike marring the brass fitting...are there any add-on finger grips or something available?

With the proper brass adaptors, you can replace the pex (white) line with the same type of flexible hose you use under your kitchen sink or bathroom faucets.
