Default Drain valve broken

Now that I've figured out how to put water in the HiLo I tried to check out the drain. It's plastic and as I tried to turn it the piece you use to turn it broke off. Any ideas where to find one? It's on the bottom front and is round. It screws in and the valve sticks out.

I've found them at ACE Hardware, but the plastic ones break fairly easily due to the effects of sunlight on the plastic. I replaced mine with a metal spigot that has a reducing adapter screwed into the back so that the tubing from the tank will connect to it. This is a permanent repair.

Wonderful! Thank you. The foam filter on the air conditioner has deteriorated and I found that in a sheet that I could cut to size at Ace yesterday. I hadn't thought to check there for this.

Click on search in the bar at top of page. Type in “replacing fresh water tank drain valve”. Go to post #2, “common Rv parts”. Click on this and click on post #2. This is my post showing how I replaced my valve. I used a quarter turn valve rather than a standard valve. Hope this helps.

Default Water drain

We also did this repair-very easy and works great! Also, Camping World carries the replacement A/C filters.
