Well i just got my 19ft 1992 and found out today there is still water in the system. How do i drain it ? . There is not a spiget on the hot water heater and i see no valves on the inside or under. Of course the temp is in the 30's and hope it is not to late. The holding tanks seem empty and i opened the seal [ ?] small handle on the water heater and there is still water in it. . Thanks for any help

To drain the water, the fresh water tank has a drain for the tank. It sounds like you drained the gray and black tanks already. The water heater has a drain plug below the burner set-up on the outside of the tank. The water lines have drains with valves under the kitchen sink area which drain through the floor to the ground. Trace the water lines through the trailer to find these valves. If there are no valves you can blow the lines out with air.(like they do with landscaping water lines). Make an adapter to go from an air compressor hose to your high pressure water hose connector on your trailer, use a valve to control the air on and off. Set the air compressor regulator at 50 psi (any higher may blow the lines apart), open the faucets, including the shower (closes one first) one at a time to get the water out. Good luck, Les

Flush before using!

David,

Before you next use the water system, be sure to flush it thoroughly. May also want to put a 1/2 cup of chlorine bleach in the water tank, fill with water and pump it through the system too. Then flush again with fresh water.

Who knows what has been growing in that old water.

If you decide to blow out the system camping world sell a screw in adapter that screws into the city water connector. Be sure to check the filter screen unit on the input side of the water pump for water. If any water is in it remove it, drain it and just leave off for the winter. Before draining the hot water heater make sure the circuit breaker for the heater is off as the heating element will burn out if someone turns the hot water heater on when empty.

Ok i know everyone will think that -- Damn that guy is dumb -- but I cannot find the drain's I have looked in all cabnets, under the sink, behind the breaker box by the hotwater heater, under the trailer, -- I cannot see the waterpump either -- I hear it close to the waterheater but ? .. I have had a T/trailer for 10+ years [31ft bumper pull ] . This trailer 19ft H/L is making me pull my hair out. lol

Can anybody help this fellow out by scanning and posting an Owner's Manual for the 1992 model year?

David4615, keep the questions coming!

Have you looked under the couch? We had a 1994 Hi-Lo before purchasing our new one and the water pump and many drain lines were underneath the pullout couch. Just a thought.
