Kitchen Facuet
My kitchen sink facuet is leaking under the knobs. What do I have to do to fix this?

I would just replace it. RV faucets are pretty generic.

We had that problem when we picked up our 2004 last year. Turned out to be a cracked mixing chamber (freeze cracked). I found a reasonably priced alternate at Lowe's. You have to look for their "utility" sink faucets. At any rate its almost identical to the original, except it has a cast and milled brass mixing chamber, and not the cheep plastic job they typically put in travel trailers.

My kitchen faucet leaked at the handle and found out the threaded stem had cracked. HiLo used Utopia brand faucets. I replaced it with a Phoenix brand faucet. My local rv dealer doesn't even carry parts for the Utopia brand.

Thanks for the help. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a quick fix. Off to Lowe's for a weekend project.

Just make sure the faucet you get is a size that does not interfere with top when lowered.

Has anyone been able to find a pullout kitchen faucet that fits with the top lowered?

?
Just have to ask about a "pull out faucet". What is that. As the name sounds like, a sink faucet that set up on slides, so that it pulls in and out??
Pics please.

That's the kind of faucet that the end comes out to be a sprayer on a hose. Like your kitchen faucet and sprayer built into one.

Pull Out Sprayer Faucet
I just bought one on EBay. It appears that it's going to fit. Look at Delta 470-DST. Not an inexpensive one, but it's very low profile. You will have to make sure that you winterize your water system because it's all brass, not plastic. I figure if it doesn't fit I can always put it in my kitchen, but my plumber swears it's going to fit. It doesn't appear to be any higher than what's in the sink now. Details to follow in a couple of weeks.
OK, details. It's in, the plumber just left. Here are the critical things to know. It fits in the 1701RK just fine, but I have very little overhead to mess with. It's going to require about 7" above the counter of free space as opposed to about 4" on the standard faucet. Also, the 1701RK uses a bathroom sized 4" on centers kitchen faucet, and the Delta is an 8" on centers unit, so an extra hole had to be drilled. PEX cutoffs that adapted to standard kitchen sink lines had to be purchased and installed. It took the plumber about an hour to install the faucet. I'm in $100 for the faucet and $75 for the plumber plus $25 for the cutoffs and other materials so a total of $200, and he installed the winterizing suction diverter valve thing for free next to the pump. I'm willing to call it a win. My wife can now get the big pot full of water full so we can steam seafood or cook spaghetti. The hose actually goes far enough that if I needed to I could wash off my feet on the back steps of the camper (I got an outside shower for free). Wife is happy (if honey's not happy, nobody is happy), I'm able to winterize the lines easily, all of my plumbing now works all at the same time (just bought this camper 45 days ago after sitting in storage since 09), and we're officially ready to go camping come spring. All we have to do is caulk.

Les, did you ever find a sprayer type faucet that fits?
