Default Water Pump bubbling sound

Hi fellow Hi-lo owners. We took out 2007 17 ft towlite dry camping this week. It is the first time we have ever tried to use the on board water tank. When we turn on the water pump we get very little water and much sputtering and water bubbles. Should the water pump stop running and only operate when you turn on the water. It seems to never stop running all the while bubbling and gurgling sounds coming from the area, even with all the water turned off. No problem when we are connected to city water directly with the water system. This is the first time we have attempted to use the pump.

Lets start with the easy stuff.
1 Did you let the pump run long enough with the farthest faucet open till it bled the air out. It will spit and sputter till all the air is out
2 Is the hot water heater full of water if you have one.
If that's not the problem
3 Check the water line and fittings from the tank to the pump for leaks (sucking air)
4 Could the pump have frozen and cracked?
5 This is a long shot is the pump power and ground reversed

I'm sure other people will be along with other ideas.

Doesn’t sound like lines are completely full of water. Pump should turn off once everything is pressurized and only work while using water. Are your valves turned the correct way? I believe the city water gets closed along with the antifreeze one.
