Default Charging the battery

We have a 1709T with the battery behind the hitch and when HI Lo is closed we can not easily get to the battery. What is the best way to add a a way to charge the battery with the top down?

Ed, I've attached one half of this quick-disconnect to the battery with ring terminals attached to the cut off ends: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's long enough to extend to the small door that can be opened with the top down.

Then, the other half is spliced in to the charging cables of my battery charger, replacing the alligator clips that were there.

I mounted the part that attaches to the battery so that the shielded, female plug is wired to the positive terminal to prevent any accidental short circuits.

Of course you can always plug the trailer's shore power cord into a house outlet using a 30A to 15A adapter, and that will charge the battery too.

Viking charger @ harbor freight comes with a ring terminal x sae plug for connection to the battery, the charger terminates in SAE to plug into this permanent battery ring connection. It also has alligator clips that terminates in SAE.

I even ordered additional "ring terminal X sae plug" (search) that I permanently put on a riding mower, I can use the Viking charger on either.

Default battery jumper

I bought one of these to be able to jump the battery through the front slot of the storage compartment
