Default Wiring in walls

I have begun removing my wallboard from the upper section and would like to replace all the 12 Volt wiring while I have it uncovered as I plan to remove all the wallboard before I start putting the new board in. I notice that I have wires running up the wall from the bottom. Where exactly do these wires run to the front to tie into the black cord on the outside and how can I access them for replacement? This is an 88 model. Thanks

These wires come from the expandable cord outside the front wall, they power all your outside vehicle lights (tail lights, clearance lights etc.) and all the interior lighting and vent fans. The newer models have this batch of wires inside a flexible loom along side the sewer vent in the bathroom. On any rewiring you do, be sure to leave all joints and connections exposed inside cabinets or somewhere they can be easily gotten to. Hope this helps.

Default wiring in walls

Richard gave you a good explination of the wiring if you need more help let us know. When we did our restoration on our 1990 Classic we didn't have to rewire. We did find one broken wire that explaines why our interior lights went out. Yrs. ago DH ran a wire from the converter across the interior wall. Then he drilled a small hole in the underside of the cabinet and connected the wire to the correct wire inside the cabinet. Then we had interior lights again.
