Default A/C trips circuit breaker

A/C unit was tripping circuit breaker in trailer. Never happened at a RV park or state park, only at home. I Have a 50 amp plug in at the garage. Voltage tests were good. Turned out to be the 50 amp to 30 amp adapter was the problem. It was poorly made and had melted down inside the female plug.
