Air Conditioner won't work
I'm working on our HiLo that hasn't been used for quite a few years. Should the air conditioner work if the camper is plugged in at home? The fans work but not the air conditioner.

Yes, the AC should work.
After you raised the top, did you plug the umbilical cord in for the ac. Mine plugs in behind the cabinet in the bathroom and I think some plug in from the outside. Depends on year and model

It will only work if Shore power cable is plugged into a RV 30 amp service. It won't work using a 15 amp (Home) / 30 amp RV plug adapter.

I should clarify my last post on this topic.
In my experience, when the H-Lo is connected to a standard 15 amp/120v shore power service, only the fan component of the A/C unit will run, but not the compressor. The A/C compressor requires a 20 amp service, at minimum, to get this running.
If the Hi-Lo 30 amp shore cable is plugged into an extension cord, assure it is a high gauge (12 gauge) extension cord.

Still working on the air conditioner. It is getting no power. It's a 98 HiLo. We can find where the 12 volt wires go up but not the 120.

Thank you Garyk52. We found the power. The sad part is it is on my checkoff sheet but none of us looked at it. Of course not using it for 15 yrs we've forgotten a lot!

Speaking of forgetting, then, be sure to unplug the power cord before lowering the top!

Just a note here regarding the 120V cord to the top of the trailer: Some of the (probably later model) trailers (like mine) have a cord that is hardwired at the top and bottom, so it DOES NOT unplug. If you're new to HiLos, don't be surprised if yours doesn't unplug either.

If it won't reset there is probably a short or other overload somewhere that needs to be fixed.
Alternatively, if you aren't used to resetting breakers, remember you have to push them all the way off before resetting. When they trip, the handle does not go all the way off, which you need to do before you reset.

Check list item
I was out camping and my friend said"don't forget to put your antenna down. Next trip out I clipped a big red bag clip to the interior TV handle. This also reminds me to unplug the interior AC and or turn the furnice off.
