Default heater scared the pants off me. well, they were off..

well, never used the heater before. Camping on friday night; I set the thermostat to 65, just in case it got chilly. around midnight I though a crazy chainsaw-weilding camper was in my trailer. I attempted to jump up, hit my head on the bunk bed, woke up the kids, then slipped on a paper plate that was on the floor. there was no chainsaw, just the heater. then, for the rest of the night, every time it turns on, its really loud for the first 15-20 seconds. almost like the fan blower is out of balance. once it gets going, it gets quieter. does it need to be lubed? cleaned? or do I just have to avoid camping when its cold....??

thanks!

Default Funice noise

Alittle TLC goes a long way. We always have our home furnice serviced cleaned and adjusted. Look on the internet for an article diagrams on Rv service..Many moving working parts to lube/adjust,vaccum out. Sam loved your story. It is never funny when the incident is happening, but somehow gets funny in the retelling.
