Default New Pigtails - Help!

I've got a 2208T and the pigtails were making a strange sound at the end of last season. So like a complete tool, i went online to amazon and ordered new pigtails, I mean how hard could it be, right? So I received the pigtails and it ended up they were too small (1/4 male) to screw into the regulator (white thing). So after some internet research, it appears that newer campers are 3/8, so I ordered 1/4 female to 3/8 male adapters. Those are now too large for the regulator (white thing). We leave for Glacier NP tomorrow am. Planning on stopping at Bluedog RV in Spokane around lunchtime. What is the correct size adapter? Anyone done this before?

So i missed a step in the process and i think i outsmarted myself by a factor of 3. I ordered 3/8-Inch Female Flare by 1/4-Inch Male, but that didn't fit the pigtails, so I ordered a 1/4-Inch Female Flare by 3/8-Inch Male Flare, so it fit the pigtails, but not the regulator. Well, the

Putting them together, I have a propane tank/pigtail/adapter/adapter/regulator situation.

I'll be #lookingforleaks

This video explains it all.... hindsight is 20/20
