Propane tank threading....?
Ok, on my '71 (Classic I guess?" has two 30lb(?) propane tanks on the front, both connected, one still has propane in it. I tried to remove them, since they are rusted to heck, and was planning on replacing them both.
Since my Hi-Lo is older then dirt, the propane connection thread into the inside of the tank nozzles, not the outside. Well I put a large adjustable on each them, one at a time, and tried to unscrew them. No luck, not even a budge. Ok, liquid wrench and wait a day, Nadda. OK a 3' pipe for leverage.... nope.
Am I missing something? The threads on the newer tank is standard, could these older tanks be a left hand thread or something? When I put full pressure on the pipe trying to get the fitting to break free, I actually lifted/moved the trailer a bit.... so it isn't lack of force.....
