Default Refrigerator to cold

I have a 2206 towlite with a standard 4 cubic 3way refrigerator
With the refrigerator running on a/c 120volt and it set at the warmest setting on #1 it holds at 24 degrees which is to cold and freezes the lettuce
Need some ideas
I think it's the thermistor mounted on the interior coils
Just started acting this way in the last couple of days

Do you have the manual for the fridge? If so, hit the troubleshooting section. I would agree on the thermistor, I think when it fails the fridge goes into automatic mode and stays on all the time.

Look on PPL Motorhomes Website:Dometic Refrigerator Parts & for any RV Fridge - PPL Motor Homes They have listings for many models.

Les, Go to Product Listings for Snip The Tip in regards to a repair kit for the thermistor. This site makes good reading, also. Hope this helps.

Les,

When camping, place a couple six-packs of beer out in the sun to warm up. Once warm, put the beer in the excessively cold fridge. This will warm up the fridge and cool the beer. Once cold, remove the beer and place more warm beer in the fridge. Drink the cold beer. Do this for a few cycles and you won't care about the lettuce anymore!

Sorry, just having fun. Let us know what you find . . .

We had the same problem with our 2706. We replaced the thermistor to no avail! Had a repair person find out that the relay in the back was sticking and lead to the fridge being cooling all the time. With a net relay the problem was solved!!
