At home which is 90% of the time the smart charger will do a much better job, of charging and maintaining battery's(off my houses solar)
boondocking the smart charger will be quicker and more efficient. I tend to over think and overbuilt. I'm sure the onboard converter is fine..... My way of doing things is not for everyone. Lol thank God I keep most of my mods to my trailer and tv off the forum (my raspberry pi weather station/portable seismograph set up for one.... Why I need it who knows, but has never been done so I needed to do it)

Since you live in Long Beach, I can see why you might want a personal seismograph. At least you'll fall into the Pacific Ocean with early warning of the reason why!

I'm impressed, f4mnect! Those are interesting gadgets you've put together. Sounds you know a thing or two about microprocessor design.
