Default Shawnee State Park, PA

Just spent a week at Shawnee, near Bedford, PA. We had an electric site, they have no full hookups. I wanted to go there so that I could go spring turkey hunting at State Game Land #104, had a lot of excitement but no turkey, my fault gun miss fired. Long story. Shawnee has a nice lake for fishing, which Mary and I did in the afternoons, caught some perch, sunfish and crappies. Camp ground was nice, hardly anyone there, had the showers to our self. They also have a swimming area, which opens later and lots of picnic areas. Was a pleasant quite trip. We loved it. Sorry no pictures, I intended to take some but being old and absent minded, I forgot.

Default Camping in PA

Sounds like you had a fun/relaxing time. This coming weekend is our first HiLove NY HiLo owners campout. Can't wait. We will have eight rigs 17 people. Koa has a special. Buy one night get one free. Nothing is for free.It works out to 25$ a night. Our last campout in Sept. of 2011 We accidently left our camcorder in the cab of the truck for one wk. Took it into the repair shop and it is "toast" Cold weather ruins sensitive electronics. Hate to mention how much $ down the drain. Now we have an excuse to upgrade to a camcorder that takes an sd card. Daughter says she will keep the new one under the blanket in the trailer. It will be a while before we purchase one. We will bring our camera and take some pictures. My sister lives close to this KOA so if we need or forget something I can go to her house. We will be spoiled with full hookups.
