I will post photos shortly, but I came up with a simple solution that is working quite well. I bought online a long ottomon just shorter in length than the width of the couch, in the same fake leather fabric (or mighty close to it) as the couch that is in the tilt out. When the ottomon is tucked up next to the couch when it is folded out, it makes the base of a double bed. Then, I purchased a double bed (good quality) air mattress with an internal pump (about 8 or 10 inches thick when inflated--takes only a minute or two to inflate--and voila--I have a bed! Then, when I want to go back just to the couch, I deflate the airmattress, roll it up and put it and the linens, and even two pillows into the ottomon. Best of all, the tilt out when retracted back in for storage itself fits right over the ottomon, so I don't have to drag the ottomon out of the way for storage. It is very sturdy, and frankly is very comfortable serving as an ottomon for the couch and not doing its double duty as the end support of the double bed. NEXT task: to do some custom work on the settee/dinette, to make it more useable as both a bed and dinette. Again, when I get photos when next at the duck club where the trailer is for the season, I'll post the photos. Solution achieved!
