Slide out doesn’t appear to be aligned correctly

I have a Classic 33’ (customized for handicap access), and I’ve noticed that the slide out doesn’t seem to be at the same level as the top part of the camper. For that matter, it seems that in a number of places along the camper the two sides don’t align. In the last picture I’m trying to show the distance between the board on the outside edge vs the inside edge of the slide out. I’m guessing that means the cables aren’t adjusted correctly, I have no clue how to fix that.

Also, on the back side of the slide there are two metal tabs that have a button under them; one at each end of the slide. They appear to be designed to sort of lock the upper part of the camper into place relative to the slide out. Have no clue what he button is supposed to be for. Any suggestions? Thanks!! This thing is going to become my full time home and I need it to be right.

Use your bulb seal between the two halves to determine if your cables are adjusted properly, not the molding inside. The top and bottom seal should be touching each other. As long as your tip out comes in and goes out, I wouldn't worry about it. On mine, sometimes the top settles and I have to bump it up to get the tip out to come back in. As for those tabs, I've never seen. Kinda looks like somebody made their own limit stops.

Rcreyes, thanks. I have a slide out, not a tip out. But I can see daylight all around the slide out. And now I see why, there doesn’t appear to be any rubber stopper on the slide out!!! Ugh!!!
