Default DTV Signal Finder

I found this item that may be of value to those of us that have trouble getting good DTV signal reception out in the fringe areas. It has an MSRP of $39.95, but I found it online for as low as $33. For that price it may be well worth it in time savings and the frustration of programming channels on the TV when moving to a new location.

SureLock Digital Tv Signal Finder

Now, if someone would like to buy one, try it out and give it a review that would be great. If it is given a good review maybe I will buy one also.

I'm still waiting to find out. Presently the Hi-Lo is at the shop for inspection, etc. I want to try it out as soon as it is back. If it will detect TV stations, Erie, at our house I will say it is a good product. Stay tuned for further details.

I'm curious if it will work with a stock antenna on a Hi Lo?

Yes, it does work. It will work with any antenna having a coax connector. What I found was that the Hi-Lo stock antenna isn't very directional and sometimes it is hard to know if you are pointed forward or backwards to the signal source. The meter is a good help in finding the maximum signal prior programming the channels on the TV especially if the stations are predominately in the same location or direction. You want to set the meter to the lowest sensitivity level before scanning for signals, then tune for the most lights.

There are probably other meters that are more sensitive and expensive but I think this one is satisfactory most needs.

Thanks, RichR. We'll give it a try. Neighbor has a similar device, we'll take to Savanna in a week or so.
