Default Radio Speaker Wiring

Hi,

My wife and I just purchased a 2408. It does not have a built in radio and I want to install one.

I noticed that trailers like ours have the radio speakers mounted in the cabinet that is over the forward dinette. Does anybody know if the speaker wires are already run to this area?

Thanks,

Raul

Hi,

I don't have a radio either but the couple that I looked at with radios had the receiver and the speakers in the forward cabinet. I would expect the you would find power supply wires for a radio lying under the cabinets bottom liner which is held in place with light gauge staples. Find a crack and gently pry up working staple to staple. Remove old staples before replacing the liner, I re attached mine with a power construction stapler.

Our 2406 T doe not have a radio and I did check in that cabinet area and there are wires for power & ground there but I do not think there are speaker wires. You may have to run those separately.

Hi,

Same here on our 2404, 12v power there, its rightout in the open, centered between the cabinet doors, but you'll have run your own speaker wires. There also is 12v power available in the cabinets above the tip out and over the sink.

Happy radio and speaker hunting, let us know what you end up with.

Thanks for the info. I'll post some photos of the completed installation.
