Default 1987 fun chaser sticking in the rear when lowering

Hello, help please. My 1987 fun chaser was working perfect and after our last camping trip out we went to lower the unit and the rear got stuck. It looks like it's still on the track. Any help on getting it back to full lower would be greatly appreciated

I also have an older funchaser.
I would raise it back up and check to see if anything got caught in the gap between the halves.
Do it with 2 people. 1 to operate the raising and the other to listen and visually check for obstructions.

Cables have tension?
sounds from obstruction?

Do NOT continue with lowering if it gets to out of whack,

Find problem!

After checking for obstructions, if there is still a problem, check cable pulleys. I had to drive to Cape Coral, Fl. to help a Hi Lo with the same problem. The right rear cable had jumped one of the pulleys. We raised the top, braced it with a borrowed 2 X 4 (nice CG host) slowly lowered the top enough to take tension off the cable and put the cable back on the pulley. Raised the top and I held tension on the cable underneath with a rag as it was lowered, safe for travel. It was repaired at his home. New set of cables to replace stretched ones. New pulleys and bolts also. Good luck with your repairs!
