Default 19ft cable replacement, how to?

Where can I buy the cables for my 19 ft Hi Lo trailer? Also is there a how to video or a maintenance manual available that will tell me how to replace the cables? BTW the front cable snapped and I had to lower it manually on the front while lowering the back of the trailer electrically.

You can get replacement cables from J and R Trailer Repair Home - JR REPAIR

or from Midget RV & Trailer Specialists
https://hilotrailerparts.webs.com/

I've read that some folks have found cable, cheaper, at various places, but you need special tools to 'make' the ends, etc. There's nothing special about the Hi-Lo cables, they're not spec'd just for Hi-Lo.

As for instructions, there are some detailed instructions on this forum. Make friends with the search function. It's not terrible easy, but with some digging around you can find it.

Good luck

Default Replacing cable.

I haven't had to do this repair on my 1990 25ft. Classic. Another forum member did a fifteen page write up on how he did his repair. Cable replacement in my 1998 HiLo 24TD 3-3-2010. This is fifteen pages of very detailed instructions with pictures. As mentioned do a search as I know someone provided a link to this write up. I know other places have the cables. Just don't know the name of one.

Here's the link to the cable replacement, it can also be found by looking on the forum main page under Hydraulic Lift System.

Thanks, I appreciate your help. The front cable broke when we were letting it down, it has thrown it out of specs, now can't close the door. I think once I get it replaced then it should line back up. Thanks again. Gerald
