Default 24D classic 1996

Hi, had to replace the original awning mine has an 18’ A&E systems by Dometic so I ordered the replacement for an 18’ awning the with is good at 17’2” but it’s too long when I bring it out all the way the top arms are too short and fall apart. Did HiLo alter the awning length from standard I cannot find any brand that gives the length of the fabric.
Did some digging also pulled the old one out of the trash can laid it out and the standard for this A&E awning it 91” but on a HiLo there 78” so my new one is 14” to long guess I’ll be looking to modify this one or find a place that I can order a custom size from.

Default Awning

Take your too long awning to a boat/canvas shop. They should be able to hem it up to the correct length. Use your old awning as a pattern.
