Default 85 Mallard complete renovation

Hi all...I am new to this forum. My partner and I have started a major project on our 85 Mallard 24' pull behind. It has been a learning experience as both of us our newbies to this sort of thing. I have started a blog to write down our experience with this whole project. Sort of a personal journal. If you visit the blog, start from the beginning as it tells the whole story.

I basically have joined this forum, in the likelihood I will need some advice down the road. Plus, to share our whole process and experiences (good and bad) with this whole thing.

Here' the link to my blog:

Thank you and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Trish

Hi trish,

I am not going to be unpolite at all... Glad to have you, joining us here at ATF... But you do know that this forum is kind of specifically about HiLo campers, right? These are campers that the roof drops about 2-3ft for traveling, then raise to occupy. What you have is one on hundreds of MFG's of solid wall travel trailers... Im not going to say your post shouldnt be here, I personally enjoy reading what others do or run into when fixing up campers, so I know what I might be faced with, since there are a lot of other common things our trailers have, from dinnettes to A/C, windows, appliances.

Plus you mis-typed the URL for your blog. You typo'd a / between www and the blogspot page...

FWIW, I happend to have a buddy that had a 60's mallard, sold it pretty cheap, I thought, because he thought he'd bought a house, that would be without a place to store it. Well, he's still looking for a house, go figure, he said.

Yeah, I realized that after I submitted my post. I am sorry. I guess I saw "everyone welcome"...then realized it was for hi/lo. I didn't think you were impolite at all.

Stick around, we all have something to learn from each other. Who knows, we may even convert you to a Hi-Lo owner. Welcome aboard!

Howdy campers! you don't have to own a Hi-Lo camper to be a part of our forum. If you wish to post (write) to the forum you'll need to register, ...

Welcome to the forum. Most everything except the lift system is common with any other trailer. I'm sure you can learn a thing or two from the forum as we can learn from you.
