Electricity in my 1968 Trailer

Hello, Hi-Lo world! I recently bought a 1968 trailer and promptly gutted the thing. As of right now I'm installing electricity and have run into a couple issues. I have the tail lights all hooked up and ready to go but I would also like at least one outlet for lights, appliance, phone chargers etc. As of right now I'm planning on buying a generator that can sit outside and can connect through a small port to the interior outlet, however, its very expensive and there are a lot of other issues. I.e. inconsistent power supplies, noise, gas, etc. Any ideas for an internal power supply?

Well, not to sound like a wise guy, but most of use batteries to supply 12 v. and a charger/ converter for 110 when we want to plug into shore power. Some use aninverter if you want to run 110 appliances off the batteries. A really good inverter I believe can do all three, or least function as a charger.

Our first camper had only a 12-volt battery for power. When it ran down (and after every camping trip) we would charge it. You could install your 12-volt wiring for lights, etc. now and add a converter/charger later if you wanted to work in stages. Then you could add the generator and ac wiring as a phase three part of the project.
