Got the exhaust vent modified to lock open or close with a lawn mower throttle
Made the damper out of stainless steel , the brackets out of 20 gauge sheet metal and a lawn mower throttle from Home Depot
Don't have use the plastic tabs to lock down the damper while towing

Dh is a retired sheet Metal fabricator. You could make up some HiLo parts to make $ in your retirement years. Some on the Airstream forum make up parts for sale.
