Default Lamps

Don't know if this qualifies as a true mod, but thought I'd throw it out there as a battery saving device.
Amazon has these @ $40 a set of two and I replaced the stock ones at each end of my tip-out couch. Push the button once and they emit a nice blue light, one works as a night light. Push the button again and hold it for a second and a warm white light for normal lighting is emitted. Push again for off.
I had an LED in each lamp and power consumption was minimal of course, however, turn one of these on and .01 volt is used (two=.02) the blue light uses 0 volts. Don't understand that, but it uses 0 volts. I'm sure over time it may use at least .01 volt.
As you can see, I need to fill the holes for the original lamps, but the install was just simple. That is a flexible neck also.
