I don’t know much about my camper. I bought it from my sister-in-law a year ago to stay in while fixing up my house. We recently noticed the roof has been leaking really bad. Everything we’ve tried to seal it with hasn’t worked well. Last week, we noticed that the side where the leaking occurred is over an inch lower than the other side. I’m hoping it’s just the cables needing to be replaced. Unfortunately, I can only find them from eBay for upwards of $400. Does anyone have any experience in this problem and can tell me of an online place to order the correct cables? My husband wants to just Jack the top up and add wood braces, but I don’t feel comfortable as my son is in it with us also.

Jabber, if you're not going to be using it as a travel trailer, I think jacking it up and supporting the low side with 2x4s is the best solution.

You're not going to find pre-made cables any cheaper than what you've already found and making them is a bit of a task. Then, actually replacing cables is a job too. You may be able to raise the low side by just using the adjustment bolts that are in the frame just in front of the street side (driver's side) tire, down low in the wheel well.

See Jack's post of 9-20-24. It gives the link about where to source parts and cables. My first priority would be to solve the roof leak. Use Lexel caulk on the edges. Use Dicor sealant around the AC and any vents. Also use externa bond tape. Then use the proper roof coating.
