Jabber, if you're not going to be using it as a travel trailer, I think jacking it up and supporting the low side with 2x4s is the best solution.
You're not going to find pre-made cables any cheaper than what you've already found and making them is a bit of a task. Then, actually replacing cables is a job too. You may be able to raise the low side by just using the adjustment bolts that are in the frame just in front of the street side (driver's side) tire, down low in the wheel well.
