Cool LP/Electric conversion

Has anyone else done this electric conversion kit for a lp only water heater? I've got it put in and wired up, but the rocker switch is very dim and it's not heating. When I was gonna unplug it rt at the end of the plugs it lit bright so I thought the outlet was worn out, swapped it out,and still same thing, I thought maybe the cord has a bad end, it happens. No , anyone have any suggestions, I've triple checked everything and same thing. Thanks

Do you have a multiMeter to check the voltage at the switch, unplugged.

It would seem to me that something in the circuitry, such as the load is pulling the voltage down. The brightness of the light is a function of the voltage level. So when you were unplugging, apparently the voltage level came up, to cause the light to be brighter.
