Default Manual lift modification

I have a 2004, 2404 LT. I would like to install a manual lift. Is that possible and how much work/cost would that be? Ron

Are you sure you don't already have one? I thought all later model trailers came with them. If you have one, you should see a tubular "socket" in front of the hydraulic pump. You stick a handle into it and move the handle back and forth to lift the top.

Look at your pump. You should see where the handle would go. I know my trailer has it already.

Will look again when I get home. My wife tells me I can't find anything and most of the time she is right. Maybe I will get her to read your posts and then find it. Probably will find it within seconds. Thanks guys. This forum is the best.

Ron, use the "Advanced" form of post entry. Below where you enter the text, you will see a section labeled "Additional Options" and in the middle of that is a button you click called "Manage Attachments". When you click that, it opens a dialog where you browse on your computer to the picture you want to upload. Select it and click on ""Upload" and it will be inserted into your post.

Not sure if photo uploaded. It shows it in the attach files box, but do not see it in this text book.

The manual pump was a factory installed option and it only became a standard item in the later years or on Classic models. I don't remember see anything here on the Forum of anyone installing one or where they got the necessary part.

It worked, Ron. It's in both posts.

You do not seem to have a manual lift pump. I have no idea how you add one.

On my 2005 27T, the manual lift was an optional item, and at that time it was $154.00.

Ron, this sounds like a Hi-Lo specific option. Perhaps J&R would be able to provide guidance, or, the parts needed?

It works just like a bottle jack, in fact the device may be made by bottle jack people. You open the little T-handle valve to let the top down. I think there is already one on the pump of one form or another.
