Default Master switch for battery

The battery was bad in my 2201 Hi-Lo so when I replaced it I decided to add a Master cut off switch while I was at it.

The reason I added it was so that when the Hi-Lo wasn't being used I could use the switch to completly cut off the battery from the trailer and prevent any parasitic battery drains. It also gives me a little extra piece of mind.

It was a simple addition, it required a master battery switch, which you will find many to choose from. I got this one from Camping World. You will also have to either replace one of the battery cables with two cables, one regular cable and one that is made for connecting to a starter switch, .. OR.. you could cut your existing cable and put put the required ends on it but I highly don't reccomend that method as you will tend to have a lot of corrosion and connection problems.

I replaced the ground cable with two new cables, one regular and one starter switch type and installed the master switch between them. It works great!
