Default Need to replace fridge

OK, after all is said and done. I need to replace my fridge. All the local repair shops said they cannot find a replacement unit, or that it would cost over $900 to replace the cooling unit and install the new one. I found a complete new unit, and it's 3-way, not the 2-way that I have now. Anyway the new unit would be $942.44 shipped to my door. That is a CHUNK OF CHANGE!!

Default Refrigerator Replacement Coils Link

Papa, here are a few sites for obtaining replacement Coils, all under $500:

Replacement Cooling Units for RV Refrigerators
Dometic and Norcold RV Refrigeration Repair - rvicebox.com

Dometic and Norcold RV Refrigeration Rebuilding Process

And here is one giving the process for doing it yourself [or with a couple of friends, and as Jack says *Beers*]:

We haven't taken the long one, yet. We are planning on leaving mid August.

Thanks for the web sites. I have one more local business, that I forgot to check with, working on finding one for me.

It's not hard to replace the cooling unit. You have to pull the unit but you have to do that to replace the frig also. I think it's Less of a headache to fix the cooling unit You know it will fit back in the hole.
