Default New Light

We have a 2805C Hi Lo. There is a mirrow located on the upper wall behind the refrigerator. It has always been dark in that corner of the camper. On our last camping trip I was trying to use the mirrow to comb my hair while the wife was in the bathroom. It was very difficult to see due to no light. I had also noticed the wife using a flashlight to see inside the refrigerator. So I came up with the idea of installing a new light fixture that would both shed light so the mirrow could be of use and that would shine some light when looking for ice cream in the refrigerator.

Finished the project this morning so I thougt I'd share a couple of photos. I used flat plastic conduit from Lowes to run the wires in. I had used it previously to run a TV wire over to the other side of the camper. The 2805C had the TV wire run for you to put the TV on top of the refrigerator and we had problems seeing it when we sat on the couch. So a couple of years ago I moved it over to the other side across from the couch. To install this light fixture I put in tee in my tv conduit and ran the power wires for the light along with the TV wires.
If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to try and answer.
God Bless
Papa

Default Lights

Gus,
The light is a generic but I did buy it from J&R Trailer Repair. I had hoped it would match the existing light in the Hi Lo so I went with J&R. It came with regular car bulbs. But as soon as the installation was completed I ordered LED's for it. I like to use LED's as much as possible because some times we camp without hook ups.

Default Light

Yes it does. I was amazed when I installed the TV wire to the other side of the camper using the flat white plastic conduit from Lowe's. It looks so natural up there and it's very easy to work with.

Default Light

I would add that I went out very early this morning (dark) and the light is really going to make finding things in the refrig a lot easier. I know the wife will be pleased when she first uses the light to find something in the refrig.
God Bless
