Default So happy to have our HiLo back from repairs.

It was a bit windy and 30*. We were able to make our wallet a little bit lighter after we payed our body shop bill. They r&R'd our front of the HiLo. It is amazingly shinny..clear coat. Prior injuries from previous owners. I hope to save up some more $ and have them R&R our fiberglass propane cover. Monday and Tuesday near 50*.We will change out some bulbs to LED,Double sided tape will be applied to the fabric at the stink pipe and wire bundle. Got some stainless steel hardware to replace the rusty bolts at the strap to keep the bumper cap on. Then in the spring we have to check and renew all exterior caulk.

Default Does anybody have a fiberglass propane tank cover.

Wondering if this cover came with the HiLo or was it an add on. The cover fits two 30lb tanks. Tried to find one on the internet..no luck. Our is beat up,but could be fixed. I wanted to price a new one verses R&R at the body shop. Our previous HiLo had a cloth cover..zipper broke. Then we had a hard side plastic one.

Don’t have an extra cover. I believe the fiberglass cover was factory standard, at least 1999, which was our 1st new hi lo.

I bought a replacement cover for my two 20# tanks online. The OEM cover had to be taken off to turn the tanks on. The replacement has a hatch at the top that can be opened to perform this task.

I can't imagine there is no cover available for 30# tanks. They are so "standard" on larger trailers. I'll see if I can find any.

Edit: I found lots of covers, from the usual sources. Here's one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40542-H.../dp/B000BUTD8Y They aren't fiberglass, but it's the same kind as I bought, maybe 6 years ago? It still looks brand new.

Default Thanks for the replies.

I searched the internet and found every kind of tank cover except Fiberglass. Some day I will be at our HiLo dealer. Our parts guy may be able to find one for me. Just wanted to price a new one vs. R&R cost on the old one. I really like the fiberglass one as it protects much better than previous kinds.

A top that opens makes life easier. The price is around $30. so I may purchase one just for the convenience.

I got mine from Hi-Lo, it was an option.

It's a one size fits all thing, they're all made to fit 30# tanks unless you get the soft covers.

Jack, I found out that the hatch on the cover like yours can come up missing if you forget to screw them down tight. I put the cover on with the nuts toward the back and then drilled small holes next to the hinges and looped cable ties through them loosely. Now if I forget the lid will not fly away.

Default Propane cover

Not sure what happened at our RV service place. One time we got home and discovered our propane cover was missing. It could have blown off in travel? Our parts guy gave us another one. Now when we have service work done I do an inspection to make sure we have the propane cover ect.

Rich, that's a great suggestion about securing the hatch. I've not lost mine, but I can see how it might happen.
