Talking New to the club?

I just purchased a 1976/77? HI-LO from my friend needs a little work but its camp ready now. Does anyone here know a good resource for these since the factory shut down? Also do any of you go to any of the rallies? Well being new just wanted to say hello and looking forward to chatting with you sometime!

Welcome to the HiLo family. J&R sells parts and do maintenance on HiLos. Do some research here on the forum for their ph#. They worked in the HiLo plant before and owners say they do good work. Most of the parts are common off the shelf items so easy to find. Past post here will have many vendors for these items. We have attended 2 national rallies and really enjoyed them. Check here for state chapters. Finish your profile and signature on the forum so everyone will know what state you live in and info on your tow vehicle and RV. Ask any questions you may have and someone here will have the answers.

the most important thing on older hi-los is maintainence of your cables and lift system. also check your cables for rust and fraying. look for maintainance tips on the forum,I hope this helps a little

We just pick-up a [2005 17 T lite], It's going into the Garage stall so I can get rid of the 3 burner stove top and a microwave will go were the stove would be. I'm also getting rid of the little shower. Then when spring gets here in 2016 we're out and about....

Default Mods to 17T

You can always cook on a coleman stove on the picinic table. Been camping for many years. Most campgrounds have adequate showers. Flip flops are a must. Enjoy your new to you HiLo.

Makes you wonder what they were thinking when they installed a lot of these showers. On my 85 25' Voyager they raised the tub/shower up off the floor a good seven inches, I am 6'1" so removed the blocking and placed the tub/shower directly on the floor. The drain will hook up under the floor directly to the gray water drain line just before the dump valve. Also will be installing fiberglass paneling or sheet aluminum to overlap the tub/shower lip on three sides to eliminate chances of leaks. I really like having a working shower available if needed.

Be sure to store your three burner stove for selling time. Most people don't want a microwave in place of the stove. It would hurt your selling chances.
