Brand: Duo Therm Brisk Air or Penguin, Coleman or Carrier. (We stock ac parts for only these brands.) Model and Serial Number: To find the model and serial number of any of the upper units, you will need to remove the upper shroud. There should be on a identification tag near the compressor. For Duo-Therm ducted systems you will also need to have the model number of the electronic kit. To find the model number for the ducted system electronic unit, you will need to remove the inside ceiling assembly and look up toward the upper unit. The electronic kit model number should be on a tag on the ducted air distribution box. Have old item: If practical, you should also have the old item in hand when calling. This may be of help in verifying that we are correctly matching the replacement item you need.
Please Note: If you roof ac has lost its freon or the compressor is not working, your should replace the unit with a new one instead of trying to repair the old one. Also, if you unit is 5 to 10 years old, and you have something other than a minor problem you should consider replacing instead of repairing. In most cases, replacement will be a better deal for you under the above conditions considering the new unit warranty and the cost of most repairs.

Hi Lo 22' travel trailer

Do you sell mauals of the hydraulic system and do you sell parts. We purchased an 86 model that needs alot of work. First we need a battery to see if the trailer will lower and 4 new tires to get it home. Can you help? Thank you, Duck and Kathy. PS, we will probably need alot more in the future as we gut it and remodel. We are a little lost in this venture. Thanx again for any help.

Hi Duck, Kathy,

Welcome to the Hi-Lo Trailer Forum (HTF).

First, the HTF is not a parts source in the sense that stuff is sold here. This is a bulletin board comprised of folks who own Hi-Lo trailers, like yourselves. In that light, if a member is looking for a part, information, or a repair procedure unique to Hi-Lo's, those who have knowledge of a source for the part, information, or procedure typically step forward and share their knowledge.

Most of the mechanical parts found in a Hi-Lo are pretty generic and can be found at RV supply stores. Hard -to-find parts unique to Hi-Lo trailers can be found at either or both of the two following sites: For Hi-Lo Parts - J & R Trailer Repair or Home - The Official HiLo Trailer Parts & Service

You specifically asked about the hydraulic system: manual and parts. The trailer owner/operator manual should have a section that deals with correct operation and maintenance, but doesn't cover much more than that. The manuals, that I've seen, also include a simple trouble-shooting chart. The HTF has a number of procedures listed in the "Library," including a subsection dealing specifically with the lift system. Here is a link: Lift System - Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum Check for hydraulic system parts at the two sources listed in the previous paragraph.

I really recommend you spend some time browsing the HTF and using the search feature. Its very good and a huge mass of information is available here.
