Default 1979 fun light - Top Won't Raise

Thinking of buying a used hi lo. This unit had a blowout. They fixed body damage but hydrolic will not lift. They think it is electric. It will manually raise. Any advise?

Cindy - I moved your post to its own thread in a sub-forum that is more appropriate. We'll need more information to advise you. When you activate the lift switch, do you hear anything? I'm trying to find out if the lift motor is receiving power. Is the battery fully charged? The top will NOT go up if the battery is weak, and it will NOT go up on shore power.

If you can raise it manually, the lowering valve is closed, and working normally. And, you don't have any hydraulic leaks, because the manual lift system uses the hydraulic portion of the lift system. So, from what you said, the motor is not powering the hydraulic pump. That could mean faulty lift circuit wiring, a faulty solenoid, or a weak battery.

- Jack

I agree with Jack it sounds like the lift motor isn't getting power.
