Default 1963 Hilo

Hello. I just purchased a 63 Hilo camper, 13ft., and am hoping to find some help in here with fixing her up. First does anyone happen to have an owners manual hanging around or know if Hilo still carries old ones? We are dying to get her road ready and out camping. Glad to be a part of this forum!

Welcome to the forum!

Congrats on finding the '63, I'm sure you have a project ahead of you.

As you may or may not know Hi-Lo went out of business back
in about 2010. But you are in luck, the forum has a library with many Hi-Lo trailer manuals. They are not model specific and they didn't change much from year to year. If you haven't done so yet look in the library at the bottom of your sign-on page and you will see a list subjects including owner manuals. Click on that and you will see a bunch of threads where people have digitized manuals. Go down through the list and look for a manual closest to your 63.

I will help you this time:http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f49/...gle-axle-2196/

I'm afraid that is the closest to 63 that I could find.

Default Thanks

Rich R.,
Thank you for the help with the library. The 71 seems to have a lot more systems than the one I got. I will stumble through it and figure out what's what. I appreciate the help and the welcome.
Happy Camping

Default Welcome to the forum.

We have had several owners of 1960 HiLos on the forum. Check the back posts for information. Many have done extensive repairs/renovations. Ask any questions and we will try and answer them for you.

I restored a 63 Hi-Lo. I don't have the manual but I have some experience so feel free to hit me up with questions at bassanih@gmail.com

Have fun!

Not sure if this will help, but the new HiLo company has been good enough to host the brochures from most of the previous generations.

If they still own the IP for the original art of the old stuff, maybe they’ll help you out?

In the meantime here’s the brochures page: Past Trailer Models | Hi-Lo Trailers
