Default Happy to be joining the group.

Hi, Les here. I now have a 96 Fleetwood (Coleman) Shenandoah pop up camper, we have enjoyed for a few years. I'm nearing 70 so we'd like to move to a Hi Lo for the ease and comfort of a solid trailer without the high towing profile and is still easy to tow with a Nissan Frontier P/U. I thought by joining the group I might have a better chance of finding what we're looking for. And, a little more about the Hi Lo trailers that we've admired for years.

Default Welcome to the forum.

You have come to the right place for information. Spend some time reading back posts. Surely one will come along that has your name on it.

Look for one that is 2001 or newer that's when they switched to aluminum framing
Also look at the 22ft model it would be the largest size I would tow behind your size of truck
I'm towing a 22 ft behind a Toyota Tacoma v6

Very good to know! And yes the 22T would be our first choice! Thanks, Les

Yes, our max tow (GVW) is 6,300 lbs. but would like to stay at around 4,500 or less and I like the load levelers/sway bars for anything over that weight as well. Thanks for your input!

We towed our 2310H with a 2007 Tacoma and it did well. The 2310H has a dry weight of about 4000 lbs. and we traveled light at maybe 4500 lbs. gross. There was some struggle on steeper hills but not anything extreme. We went from Pa. to Maine with no problems. I would say if you go with a 2209T or earlier you will have no problems. The 2310H is a cross between a Towlite and a Classic which added about 400 lbs. and has a gross weight of 7000 lbs.
