Default Hi Lo 1979

My husband and I just bought a Hi Lo. My husband has been dilegently working on the trailer. Im going on my annual camping trip next month. Im so excited. I have been cleaning the interior again and again. Covering the cushions. I got some cool curtains and comfortfor in a bear and wildlife theme. I have to scrub around the windows which are terrible. Any suggestions on cleaning the windows? I hope to do a little painting. My husband says that the interior will done before he is done. This may be the case. I have helped my husband with some of tasks.

MY husband has affectionally named the trailer HI Lo Hi Lo off we go! Which is cute. I frequently call the trailer my cabin.

I looking forward to many years of camping!

My husband has been all over the forum already getting ideas. My first post.

Will post pictures of our process. Right now he is sealing the roof.

Im in my fifties. I am newly remarried. I am a mom and a grandmother. I m a nurse here in our town. I love fishing which goes well with camping. My husband is not a angler. So he uses his ham radio while Im fishing. He is already planning where the ham radio gear is going to be set up. I am looking at putting a tow hitch on my ford explorer for towing. My husband has a nice van.

I enjoy gardening, sewing, hiking, outdoors, friendships, famiy, working and a multitute of other thing.

Solitude is a nice activity and I m sure having the trailer I will have lots of time for solitute.

Hi, happy to see another 79 HiLo in Colorado! Post some pics, I would love to see your camper. We have had ours for a year now, and I am working on remodeling the inside. Someone along the way painted the inside, and the paint job is not holding up well. There have also been some water damage, so I am pulling the paneling off the top half and replacing it with tongue and groove paneling. I am doing one wall at a time, so that way I don't have the entire camper torn up. So far I have pulled 2 windows out and replaced the wood frame around them to get a good tight fit, because the wood around the windows was rotten, and someone had built up a good 1/4 inch of caulk around the windows because they couldn't get the screws to tighten up. Hoping to have the wall that I am working on done by the 4th of July weekend.

Hi there, I'm "the husband". We got the HiLo on it's first outing.
Work in progress, but it is functional.

Surprised that this Vbulletin forum won't let images be posted directly?

I'll figure it out. Guess I will need to post 'em elsewhere first, for a URL.

Okay, le sigh.

Howdy,

To post images directly, click on "Post Reply," then scroll down to "Additional Options" and click on "Manage Attachments." A new window should pop up. Then, "Browse" for the images on your computer and select one to upload."Upload" the images one at a time. Tedious but works. Close the popup window when all images are uploaded, then hit "Submit Reply." Your images should magically appear. Good luck!
