Default New 2407T Owners

Well, thanks to all of the previous posters on this site, we now have a previously-owned Hi-Lo 2407T Towlite. We were looking for a larger trailer with bit more room (we also have a 2013 Chalet XL1935 soon to be sold) for those rainy days when we get stuck inside, but we also wanted something that would tow in the slipstream of our Ford Expedition.

There were several Hi-Lo's offered for sale in the Phoenix area. We looked them over and picked what looked like the cleanest and most defect free of the bunch and now we're cleaning and fixing it up. We've already installed a Fantastic Fan (how can you live without it?) and installed the refrigerator fan mod. Next, we will be lowering the battery-box in order to install two 6-volt golf cart batteries. Then we will add at least 2 solar panels. We need this since we boondock most of the time. We did this to our other camper with no problems, but the Hi-Lo presents its own difficulties here. Do we screw into the thin roof of the Hi-Lo with framed panels or tape bendable panels down? We have a big decision coming up and have read everything posted here so far.

Anyway, we're having a lot of fun and planning more. We live in Gilbert, AZ and try to get out at least one weekend each month, but the recent birth of a grandchild is interfering (in a good sort of way) with our future plans. We'll have more time after retirement in the next couple of years. And now we'll also have room for that little guy to get out with us.

Thanks All,
George

Welcome to the forum. Here's a link on a solar panel installation. Hope it helps.
